COMMITTEES

Participation in one of our many groups & committees is a great way for NARI members to get involved! We rely on the expertise and contributions of remodeling professionals to put on exciting events and provide valuable resources for our members. If you’re a NARI member and want to take advantage of this unique networking opportunity, contact the office at admin@narisacto.org.


Awards | The RotY Committee is responsible for the organization and production of the chapter Remodeler of the Year (RoTY) Awards as well as educating the membership on the advantages of participating in the Regional and National RoTY awards.   

  • Provide direction, promotion and review of the ROTY Celebrating Excellence & Holiday Party to include a theme, decorations, set up, tear down, assistance at and prior to the event (invitations, registration, logistics) as requested, within the allotted budgets. 
  • Discuss ways to increase attendance at the event and actively recruit attendees and sponsors.
  • Work with Marketing Committee on promotional campaigns for increased participation in RotYs and party attendance.
Meetings from May-November once per month


Community Service | The Community Service Committee is responsible for promoting the giving nature of our NARI members and helping those in need. 

  • Work with Sacramento Habitat for Humanity and Build Together Sacramento to identify opportunities for members to assist them in their mission(s).
  • Identify charitable partners to be beneficiaries of our annual toy drive.

Ethics & Standards | The Ethics & Standards Committee is responsible for reviewing complaints consistent with the NARI Grievance Procedure, and upholding the ethical standards of the association. This committee is comprised of past NARI presidents.


FUNdraising | The FUNdraising Team is responsible for, well, planning fun events! It's a great way to meet other members and dip your toe in the volunteer pool.

  • Plan social activities.
  • Determine venue for Annual Golf and Trap Tournament events.
  • Recruit sponsors.
  • Determine raffle games and prizes and gather items.
  • Volunteer at events.
Golf meetings from March-October once per month, other social activity meetings as needed


Home & Landscape Expo Committee | The Home Expo Team is responsible for the NARI booth at the three day Home & Landscape Expo booth the last weekend of January or first weekend of February each year at CalExpo. This is a great way to volunteer for a single, short event. 

  • Responsible for setting up and tearing down the annual NARI booth for the Home & Landscape Show at CalExpo
  • Promotion of NARI booth
  • Fill volunteer slots for the Expo

Marketing | The Marketing Committee is responsible for promoting NARI activities to members, potential members, and consumers through print and electronic media.

  • Provide materials and campaigns to promote consumer awareness.
  • Help with designing, editing, implementation, and tracking of outbound communications and marketing.
  • Collaborate on public awareness of the presence of the local NARI chapter and its members.
  • Promote the NARI name in general, and specifically promote community service projects. Interface with the NARI National office, being sure to take advantage of National’s advertising programs and benefits, co-op ads, etc.
  • Post to social media accounts.

Membership | The Membership Committee is responsible for recruitment and orientation of new members, and retention of current members. The committee is instrumental in welcoming and retaining members, through email, phone and personal contact.  Their commitment to encouraging continued membership is vital to the goals of our chapter. 

  • Recruitment and Retention of Members
  • Periodically review dues structure and membership
  • Determine ways to increase member engagement.
  • Plan membership meetings, topics, locations, speakers, registration, sponsorship, etc.
  • Personalize membership for each member.
  • Establish and facilitate an annual membership drive.

Workforce Development | The Workforce Development Committee is dedicated to exposing students to the rewarding world of skilled trades. It offers a comprehensive approach to career exploration, education, and training in industries such as construction, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and HVAC.

  • Come up with a plan for immediate career path options in the remodeling industry
  • Work with local schools/colleges
  • Attend career days and trade shows.
  • Determine budget/funding needed if applicable
  • Research and carry out WFD plan determined by Board
  • Provide outreach to students, schools and other interested partners.
  • Inform public of career opportunities within the Remodeling Industry
