Each year, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) honors our outstanding members with the prestigious Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award. Judged by a diverse and impartial panel, CotY winners demonstrate exceptional results in remodeling projects. Awarded in multiple categories, there is one that is perfect for your team.  Entering to win an industry award is a great way to bring credibility to your company, energize your employees and expand your marketing reach.

  2. Write a 100 word project summary
  3. Complete and upload the Client-Contractor Agreement and Photo Release forms
  4. Submit your presentation*, project summary, entry fee and additional supporting documents to NARI of Greater Sacramento via the OpenWater platform.  ENTER HERE

Please remember these three main tips:

1.  Presentation: When you are putting together your presentation, pretend that it will end up in a binder that is handed to the judges.  This is all the judges see!  Then, instead of the binder, you will save it in a PDF format and upload it to the site.

2.  Forms: Be sure to have your entry documents (Homeowner's Affidavit and Photographer's Release) signed and saved to a PDF.  This will be uploaded during the process.  The judges do not see these!

3.  Photos: From your project photos, pick at least 1 before and 1 after shot that you want used in your PowerPoint presentation and after-event promotions.  The online platform requires you upload at least 10 (there is room for 30) so be sure your favorites are the first you upload so we know which shot to use (we reserve the right to select another if it shows better in a presentation).  The judges do not see these!
