February Chapter Event

Today's Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) are known by many names: granny flats, in-law units, backyard cottages, secondary units and more. But no matter what you call them, ADUs are an innovative, affordable, effective option for adding much-needed housing in California. NARI's February Chapter Meeting will explore the laws and regulations affecting ADUs, homeowners and remodelers.

Greg Nickless, State of California Housing and Community Development, literally wrote the book on ADUs. Greg has provided technical assistance advising local government representatives, housing providers and housing advocacy organizations. He will share his expertise on housing element law, land-use related issues, and State, Federal and local housing planning and financing programs and requirements.
